    Warranty
    3-Year Workmanship

A dead outlet, a two-prong outlet that won't hold a plug, or a kitchen with no GFCI is more than an annoyance — it's usually a sign of what's behind the wall. We install and replace outlets the right way: correct wire gauge, correct breaker, correct box, and a written flat price before we start.

We work across the Baltimore area and central Maryland — Baltimore City and Baltimore County, Glen Burnie, Columbia, and the towns in between. Every job is done by a licensed, insured Maryland electrician and carries our 3-year workmanship warranty.

Outlet work we do most often

In Baltimore's older row homes the call is usually two-prong outlets and ungrounded wiring — we add grounded outlets and GFCI protection without tearing up plaster. In Glen Burnie and the post-war neighborhoods around it, it's garage and outdoor outlets that were never weatherproofed, plus dedicated circuits for freezers and tools. In Columbia's townhomes, it's USB outlets, floor outlets for open living rooms, and dedicated 20A circuits for home offices.

Whatever the house, the rule is the same: you get a written price first, and the price doesn't change once we start.

When an outlet problem is a bigger problem

An outlet that's warm, discolored, or smells like burning plastic is telling you something is wrong upstream — a loose connection, an overloaded circuit, or aluminum wiring that needs proper remediation. We don't just swap the device and leave. We check the circuit, tell you what we found in plain language, and only recommend the work that's actually needed.

    Frequently asked questions

How much does outlet installation cost in Maryland?

Replacing a standard outlet is $210 for the first and $65 for each additional one on the same visit. New outlets run $285 for the first, GFCI outlets $320, and a 240V outlet for a welder or EV is $825–$895. You approve a written flat price before we start.

Can you replace two-prong outlets with three-prong?

Yes. Where a ground exists we install grounded outlets. Where it doesn't, code allows GFCI protection labeled 'no equipment ground' — we tell you which option your wiring supports and what each costs.

    Do I need GFCI outlets?

Code requires GFCI protection in kitchens, bathrooms, garages, basements, laundry areas, and outdoors. If your home predates those requirements, upgrading is one of the cheapest safety improvements you can make.

Do you pull permits for outlet work?

Simple device replacements don't need one. New circuits do, and we pull the permit in our license — Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Howard County, or Anne Arundel County depending on the address.

    How long does it take?

Most outlet replacements take under an hour. A new circuit or a 240V run can take half a day. We give you the time window with the written price.
